A WORD FROM PASTOR JOHN

God's Word tells us in Gal. 5:19-21 that the works of the flesh are evident, and it goes on to include a list of sins and the end result for those who practice such behavior. In Gal. 5:22, it speaks of the Fruit of the Spirit and that against these there is no law.
We have the advantage of knowing beforehand about the men that come to MZH. The reality is they were dedicated to the works of the flesh before they entered the MZH program. The practice of their sins would eventually separate them from God for eternity if they didn't repent. You see, it is imperative that the men are taught the Word of God for there to be any hope for their lives, both here and forever. In 2 Timothy 3:16 it says, "All scripture is given by instruction of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, or instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
The majority of the men before entering MZH were point blank headed for hell, or at the very least "escaping as through the flames" 1 Cor. 3:15. Many of the men who were once unprofitable and a liability are being transformed by the renewing of their minds, Romans 12:2. They are learning how to "present their bodies as living sacrifices before God", as they understand that "this is their reasonable service" because God has saved them. The men are consistently being taught the Word, rebuked by it, corrected from it, and are being trained in righteousness according to it. The Lord has a greater work for these men than what they were doing when they were working for their flesh. God has a firm hold on many, and the works of righteousness is evident. God can take what the world, and unfortunately, many Christians have declared as worthless, and reveal to all a work of beauty from His hand. Many of these men are now bearing the Fruit of the Spirit that Gal. 5:22 speaks of. Please pray that the Lord will anoint the men of MZH to continue in the work of the Gospel.

In His Service
Pastor John

About Mt. Zion Christian Church

Mt. Zion Christian Church, the church that founded Mt. Zion House, is a nondenominational, Spirit-filled body of believers. Mt. Zion House is an important part of what God has called Mt. Zion to accomplish. We believe he has called Mt. Zion to prepare people through worship, discipleship, and evangelism for Christ's return. Through worship...God's Word says that we are to offer ourselves daily unto the Lord as living sacrifices. Our desire is to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ in all that we do. Through discipleship...Our mandate from the Lord Jesus is that we are to make disciples who walk in obedience to the expressed will of God. Through evangelism...It is our Father's heart that not one should perish. Consequently, all ministry at Mt. Zion should have this same passion whereby we present and proclaim Christ as Lord and Savior.
