When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you; that the Lord Jesus on the same night He was betrayed took bread:
and when, He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat, this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do as often as you drink it, in remembrance if Me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
*When we are at church we do this as a thankful reminder for what Jesus has done for us.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear it.
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
*Idolatry is anything that you esteem or lift up equal to or higher than God.

Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord,
Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
*This morning as I was praying for scripture to post, the Lord gave this one.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence. Whenever I have need for deliverance from evil, I trust in the Lord for His provision of protection.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Our son is deploying today to whereabouts unknown, as usual. We are placing our faith in Christ to protect and divert every evil attack that comes against him and his platoon, and to bring them all back safely, losing none.
