But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
*The treasure is Christ in us, mere human beings who are severely limited in and of our own means.
Yet, the power of God is manifested through us in that we can do all things through Christ who strengths us.
*With this I say “praise the Lord.”

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
*We all, before we knew Christ were in bondage to our sins and condemned.
But now we are free because the Spirit of the Lord lives within us and we have liberty to pursue the righteousness of God.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
*When the Lord allows tribulations in our lives, we look to Him and He proves Himself faithful as He comforts us through the pain.
*Our response to this is a genuine care and concern to assist in comforting others as they go through the tribulations of their own lives, directing them to Christ.

“But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’
For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
*Jesus speaks that our word should be absolutely true that others would have no need to question or doubt it.
*If my ‘Yes’ becomes ‘No,’ or my ‘No’ turns to ‘Yes’ when another is counting on the truth from me, I then am speaking the language of the devil.

Then He said to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the market places,
the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts,
who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers.
These will receive greater condemnation.”
*Church leaders, in their hearts, should look for and be content with the “Back row, Euker seats” while here on earth.
